Titan Comics has announced that they will be released Dark Souls: The Age of Fire, which will be a four-issue mini-series featuring the main characters from the popular game. The story will apparently be a “dramatic retelling of the Legends of Silver Knights.” This series will coincide with the release of Dark Souls Remastered, which is also due in May.
Dark Souls: The Age of Fire is written by Ryan O’Sullivan, who has worked on the likes of Turncoat, Eisenhorn, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and The Evil Within in a writing capacity in the past. More recently, O’Sullivan has written a comic book series entitled Void Trip, which tells the story of the last two humans alive in the galaxy, known as Ana and Gabe.
As for the artwork, this is done by Anton Kokarev. His work can be recognized from the art for the Evil Dead 2: Beyond Dead by Dawn comic book series, as well as being an illustrator for The Howling. Kokarev also worked on Assassins, Knights, & Dwarves: The D.P. Prior Anthology of Sword and Sorcery.
A description on fextralife of the upcoming mini-series:
In the Age of Fire, the Silver Knights served under Lord Gwyn‘s command. This ended dramatically when Lord Gwyn and some of the Silver Knights traveled to the Kiln of the First Flame. They were trying to link the flame but it ended in disaster. All of the Silver Knights who went with Lord Gwyn were charred by the flame, which resulted in them being transformed into Black Knights.
