Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered Revealed

Assassin's Creed Rogue

The Assassin’s Creed franchise has been a long-standing one for some time now. And with the advancement of technology has come the ability to remake old tales and make them shine for potential new players. Assassin’s Creed Rogue has been one that has been rumored for an HD remake for some time now. And yet, nothing had come of it beyond the rumors. That is, until today, when Ubisoft dropped a teaser trailer for the remaster alongside some new info about the game.

First and foremost, the Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remaster will include all the original content in the game, as well as include all the updates and DLC it had. This includes the Master Templar and Explorer packs. But wait, there’s more, the game will also feature two brand-new missions via The Armor of Sir Gunn Quest and The Siege of Fort de Sable. Thus making the remaster much more than just a simple upgrade.

Rogue tells the story of Shay Patrick Cormac, an assassin based in 18-century North America. He’s a devoted member of the Brotherhood, but then, when a mission goes sideways, he gets betrayed by his brothers. Desperate for revenge, he becomes a Templar, and seeks to wipe them the assassins from the face of the Earth.

Ironically, Rogue was one of the Assassin’s Creed games that truly made it apparent that something was wrong with the series. It did ok sales wise, but it felt a little generic compared to previous entries.

Thankfully, things have turned around via Assassin’s Creed Origins, as that game was both critically praised and sold millions upon release. This no doubt will be template for all future Assassin’s Creed games.

Still, if you’re looking for a glimpse into the previous games, and you’ve never played Rogue before, you might pick it up when it releases on March 20th.
